As founder of Pacific Northwest College Pathways, I am delighted to welcome you and will gladly support you through college preparations, applications, selection, enrollment, and career search processes. I was the first student to be admitted to Harvard University from my 144-year-old high school. Ever since, I have mentored students seeking to challenge themselves through obtaining admission at top colleges.
I hold an honors degree in Biochemical Sciences (minor in French Language and Literature) and an MPH in Family & Community Health from Harvard and an MD from the University of Washington. Upon re-discovering my passion and facility for teaching during a year of staffing the then-new Huntington Learning Center in North Bend, I started a small business in Fall 2018. As I successfully supported students through high school STEM, foreign language, and college entrance exam preparation, parents began to ask if I could assist with college advising.
I facilitate a calm learning environment to optimize school performance, subject comprehension, and college application presentation. I am familiar with curricula and schedules from Lake Washington to Mercer Island to Issaquah School Districts as well as many private and public schools in Seattle.
As the majority of colleges and universities remain test-optional, it is more important than ever for students to tell a compelling and unique story in their essays and to be savvy early in their high school journeys about college planning and preparation.
As a lifelong autodidact, avid ballet and dance enthusiast, cyclist, photographer, and writer, I love encouraging students to communicate their own passions in their applications and thereby help colleges to see their vibrant potential-filled stories.
I serve on the Children's Alliance Executive Board and Public Policy Council, served for nearly a decade on Harvard Club of Seattle's Board, served as a Harvard alumna interviewer for twelve years, and recently concluded a seven-year term as Native American Alumni of Harvard University's President. I look forward to guiding and supporting you on your college admissions learning journey -- from choosing and refining your college list, brainstorming and revising your college essays, through to making informed decisions about your admissions options in your senior spring.
